STANDARD

OUR STANDARD: GET IT RIGHT.

CNC vertical milling machine cutting a part

Vertical machining from prototype to production run.

Our milling department is built around 12 HAAS CNC vertical machining centers. Machine sizes range from VF0 through VF4, covering a wide range of part sizes and configurations. Every machine is equipped with fourth axis capability, giving us the ability to rotate and reposition parts during the machining process without secondary setups.

WHAT THAT MEANS FOR YOUR PROJECT

Fewer setups mean less handling, tighter tolerances, and faster turnaround. Whether we are running a single prototype or a recurring production order, the process is the same: review the drawing, write the program, machine the part, inspect it, and deliver it.

Turning and boring for round and complex parts.

Our lathe department runs five CNC turning centers with a range of capacities.

  • DN Solutions Puma GT3100 with 4.0-inch bar capacity

  • DN Solutions 2100 SY high-performance multi-axis CNC turning Center

  • Daewoo Puma 240M 3-axis CNC turning center equipped with live tooling and a C-axis

  • Daewoo Puma 240

  • Haas SL20

Two Hardinge Chucker lathes are available for light secondary operations. A Mori Seiki engine lathe rounds out the department for manual turning as needed.

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT

Two Bridgeport manual milling machines, two media blast cabinets, and two tumblers for part preparation and finishing operations.

FINISHING

We manage all outside processing through a vetted vendor network. Heat treating, anodizing, plating, and powder coating are coordinated by GSI and treated as part of the production order, not a separate customer responsibility.

SolidWorks CAD model on a computer screen

Engineered with precision from the start.

Every part begins in SolidWorks CAD. Machining programs are developed in Mastercam CAM software by our in-house programmers. We accept DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, and SolidWorks native file formats.

ISO 9001:2015 Certified.

Quality is not a department at GSI International. It is built into every step of our process, from incoming inspection to final assembly. Our ISO 9001:2015 certification means every part we produce is governed by a documented system that ensures consistency, traceability, and continuous improvement.

  • Brown and Sharpe CMM coordinate measuring machine

  • Thread gages, pin gages, and precision hand tools

  • In-process inspection at machining and fabrication stages

  • Final quality check before every shipment
